Some colourful, proudly South African petit fours from Charly’s Bakery in Cape Town. They were very nice and the icing is made marzipan.
Some cute, pink Elmo and Cookie Monster cupcakes sold at Charly’s Bakery. They are very nice but due to the food colouring, they can colour your lips, tongue and teeth either pink or blue for a time. Also, the icing is rather rich.
An excellent cappuccino from Namona near Gardens Centre, Cape Town.
A divine, gold spray-painted and highly decadent Amarula-infused cake with a rose petal ‘covering’ from Charly’s Bakery. The richness of it nearly killed me but it was one of the best slices of cake I have ever had… and I like my cake.
